Hi Everyone,
It is September. Seriously. It's back to school time, and dive-deep-below-into-writing time. I really love this time of year, the weather is beautiful in B.C., and I look forward to comfort food season!
This past summer was really relaxing for my family and me; it was all about stay-cation and time together, until our first trip to Disneyland at the end of August, which was...magical. Totally worth the months of saving up.
In the writing world, I've been working on Beyond the Borders, but not a rigidly as I will this fall. In summertime I want to be with my children every minute, because I miss them so much when they are in school. What I did do just this past week, in preparation for Beyond the Borders next year, is begin offering Beneath the Surface's e-book for free to the general public. The very fantastic Debra who owns Book Enthusiast Promotions has opened a reviewing group on Facebook. By joining the group, you can read a whole list of romance novels through Kindle or the Kindle app, including Beneath the Surface, just by providing a review within two weeks. There is no limit to the amount of books you may read, as long as you make the deadline. I think that is fantastic!!
To join the group, and request Beneath the Surface through Debra, just click here.
And some more good stuff:
This August I was also tagged in a Blog-Hop by the lovely T. Rae Mitchell, author of Fate's Fables. Unfortunately, and, I believe, because of summer holidays, I couldn't find anyone to tag and continue the Blog-Hop, so I'm a miserable failure, to say the least! :) However, if you get a moment, please check out T. Rae Mitchell's Blog by clicking here. She has written this beautiful fantasy novel about a girl who gets trapped in a book of fables. I have it on my "Favourite Reads" list, because it is a truly wonderful read: Dark, YA fantasty, and so much more.
Click on here to be directed to her Amazon page, you won't be disappointed!
Anyway, I'm off to do what I do best, and that is being a mom.
Take care everyone. Happy reading, and I'll be in touch soon.
M.
