The entrance, of course. If you get a chance, I highly recommend a visit and walk in this park in the summer time. They even have a festival every year, and many fantastic horse events that are so much fun to watch.

It just doesn't get any more spectacular than this; unless, that is, you're here in the fall, and witnessing the array of colours this park provides. Lots of wedding photos are taken here.

16th avenue is quite busy, which is where you will most likely enter the park if you are planning on taking a walk in the trails. I just cannot--ever--get over the lushness of forest surrounding the park. It always takes my breath away when I'm there.

Yes...The Artful Dodger is a real place! If you head south down 200th street from Campbell Valley Park, you'll come to this neat little intersection where Liss stops and meets a lady for a brief moment, who offers to help her. Liquor delivery now...hmmmm. They do make a mean set of nachos, too.

With The Artful Dodger on my right, this is the IGA Supermarket at 24th avenue. Same intersection. Liss turns right here, and keeps on running...

Glenwood Elementary is the heritage school Liss passes by before she hits open farmland. Again, yes, a real place. School is also still in session at Glenwood, but I'm told the heritage building here is not. I must have lots of "real" in my story. I like to be able to visit the places, it seems to serve my imagination well.

This, everybody, is the home where I grew up. I had to include it here, because it's so special. It's changed a lot since I lived here. At just over 1000 square feet, my little teeny-tiny bedroom window was on the left. On the far right, there used to be a sunroom, which is now part of the house; that's where my mom used to sew up a storm of mine and my sister's clothes and costumes and blankets and anything else we needed. Moms are fantastic! The big window in the front used to be one big window, and I have lots of memories of my dad painting pictures to suit the holidays. It got lots of attention from neighbors. Ahh, memories! :) It was a great little house for 8.5 years of my life (or until I turned 12). This was also the place I learned to ride my dirt bike, and kissed my first boyfriend on the cheek.
